GPS receivers, which can locate the position of a moving train and provide safety verification information, are widely used in passenger notification and arrival time prediction for railways. Because the GPS antenna installed at the train tail is susceptible to interference from the external environment and cannot receive enough satellite data, positioning results cannot be provided through the conventional four-satellite positioning method. This paper discusses the prediction of clock bias sequence of GPS receivers from the perspective of the grey system theory, and puts forward a new algorithm of GPS train positioning. Through the verification and analysis of the measured data, the algorithm can provide a solution of accurate train positioning when a train GPS receiver receives incomplete satellite signals.

By examining the characteristics and technical requirements of the moving block system of Shuozhou-Huanghua heavy haul railway, this paper studies the heavy haul radio block center (RBC) system, and provides a solution for calculating movement authority for heavy haul trains by the moving block method. In view of the greater length and weak braking performance of heavy haul trains, heavy haul RBC provides the following functions: assisted train positioning, train screening, maintaining movement authority, transition between fixed block and moving block without stopping and other functions applicable to heavy haul trains. Through a field test on Shuozhou-Huanghua Railway, it is verified that each function of the heavy haul RBC system meets the technical requirements of the moving block system of the heavy haul railway, which lays a foundation for the development of Smart Shuozhou-Huanghua Railway in the future.

Aiming at the lack of deep excavation and fault diagnosis of basic equipment information in the current high-speed railway signaling & communication maintenance system, a SOA-based design of an auxiliary platform for high-speed railway electrical maintenance is proposed. Through this platform, the faults of railway electrical infrastructure equipment such as track circuits and signals can be quickly diagnosed in the high-speed railway signaling & communication maintenance tasks, and the two-way push between the signaling & communication department and the maintenance site can be realized to effectively assist the signaling & communication maintenance personnel to complete the maintenance. Combined with the actual design process of the platform, the system architecture composition, software and hardware design, and key technologies are introduced with the field verification. The verification results show that the application of the platform can effectively improve the maintenance and management efficiency of the signaling & communication system, ensure the safety of operators during the dispatching process.

This paper studies the key factors affecting branch turnout control scheme selection, and puts forward the general principles of scheme selection. By using the theory of reliability and fault tree analysis and the methods of investigation, summary, analysis and calculation, this paper studies five factors that affect the schemes. It is concluded that when the distance between the branch turnout and the adjacent station is not more than 5.24 kilometers, the turnout should be controlled by the adjacent station; when the distance is more than 5.24 kilometers, zone interlocking of the station on the side with no liaison lines is the preferred option.

This paper presents a real-time map-matching algorithm based on probability statistics. The search range of the map-matching algorithm is reduced by using the confidence interval of satellite positioning. A matching error function is established as the standard to evaluate the matching degree of candidates. The proposed algorithm delivers both accuracy and real-time performance based on the characteristics of errors in train positioning systems. The simulation results demonstrate the considerable accuracy and real-time performance of this algorithm.

There are some problems in the traditional manual inspection of railway power equipment, such as unclear and incomplete records on equipment information, disordered storage locations of equipment resumes and delayed updates. This paper puts forward the basic technology of applying RFID to railway power equipment management based on the characteristics of RFID technology, in order to meet the requirements for accurate information on the quantities and parameters of existing power equipment, which is required by railway operation and production as well as equipment overhaul and renovation. On the one hand, the proposed technology can improve the equipment management ability of the power supply sections of Railway Bureaus; on the other hand, this technology can provide timely and accurate data support for railway overhaul and reconstruction projects.

In rail transit communication systems, power dividers/combiners are widely used. Based on the EUHT system and the design theory of wideband Wilkinson power dividers, and taking advantage of the easily-conformal and planar characteristics of microstrips, this paper designs a C-band microstrip wideband Wilkinson eight-way power divider, in order to cover the frequency range from 5.15 to 5.85 GHz. The resulting port isolation is better than 20dB; the difference in output amplitude is less than 0.15dB and there is no phase difference between outputs.

In order to effectively improve the commissioning efficiency of new rail transit vehicles, the maintenance quality of signal equipment and the efficiency of operation organization. In this paper, the debugging simulation simulator of on-board signal equipment is designed and manufactured. The device is a tool for debugging the automatic driving and automatic protection functions of rail transit trains. It can test the connecting lines and functions involved in train signals in batches, and can also quickly find the hardware fault points of the equipment, In particular, it can play a more efficient role in the troubleshooting of difficult faults such as vehicle interface faults and serial lines, so as to effectively evaluate the hardware and software performance of the equipment and the relay response standard as a whole. In the production application, the efficiency of equipment maintenance and fault treatment is improved, the occupation of rail transit construction resources is reduced, and the research purpose is achieved.

Red-light strap is a kind of fault that often occurs in railway signal equipment. In this paper, the method of fault tree analysis is used to create a fault tree and obtain the minimum cut set by taking the red-light strap fault of 25 Hz track circuits as the top event. Based on the data on such fault from a workshop of Qingdao-Jinan Railway in recent years, the probability importance is calculated to determine the most important factors leading to the occurrence of the top event, and finally the corresponding maintenance suggestions and measures are put forward.

Adjacent 25 Hz phase-sensitive track circuit sections are separated by insulated joints. However, due to the need for traction return currents, all sections are connected in terms of physical structure, resulting in special positions where neighboring sections affect each other. This paper tests and analyzes the following problems that occurred on site: the red-light strap caused by the insulation of the frogs of a intersecting crossover with 25Hz track circuits, and the failure of a track relay to drop due to the unreasonable positions of the transverse connection lines and the boosting cables. This paper also finds the solution to provide electrical maintenance and construction personnel with some ideas when dealing with related problems.

Due to the differences in the system of the owner's trackside equipment and in the driver's habits of controlling the train, the speed control logic of onboard equipment of the project in Sao Paulo, Brazil is quite different from that of the traditional onboard equipment in China. In view of this situation, this article studies the speed control and protection logic of FZL300 onboard equipment based on the application requirements of foreign urban rail owners and trackside equipment standards, in order to fulfill the functions of automatic train protection and speed-control conversion between high and low speed sections.
