Comprehensive Reliability Assessment of Computer Based Interlocking Equipment for Different Life Cycles

This paper describes a set of reliability assessment methods of signaling equipment for different life cycles. A reliability analysis method based on accelerated life test is proposed for the equipment research & development or testing phase, so that the equipment failure data can be obtained in a short time to establish the Arrhenius model under high stress conditions. Thus, the equipment mean time between failures (MTBF) can be derived under the normal stress profile. Moreover, a failure rate analysis method based on field maintenance data is proposed for the equipment field operation phase, so that the equipment wear state can be accurately analyzed through the non-parametric estimation method when the failure occurrence time data do not conform to the specific distribution. These two reliability assessment methods are put into practice by the example of computer based interlocking (CBI) equipment. The accuracy and consistency of the models built by different reliability assessment methods are cross verified through the analysis and assessment results of these two methods.

In order to further improve adaptability and usability of the moving block system, this paper studies the requirements of the mixed scenarios of existing trains and moving block trains, and proposes a scheme of switching the section block system automatically based on train type. In different operating scenarios, the scheme can screen the departure block system accurately through comprehensive judgment of train information and occupied information without manual operation, in order to avoid the bad influences caused by human errors, ensure the safety of train operation. The scheme of automatically switching block system solves the difficulties in line operation during the transition period from automatic block between stations to moving block and in the backup mode of equipment failure, and provides the foundation for the widespread application of moving block system.

Focusing on the renovation project of Laiwu East locomotive turnaround depot, this paper analyzes and improves the traditional functional circuits of the engine release line of locomotive depots. On the one hand, it solves the inconsistency between the indoor and outdoor displays of the shunting signals at the entrance of Laiwu East station. On the other hand, considering the special requirements of push/pull shunting movements on the engine release line, it solves the conflict between the time of closing the shunting signals at the locomotive depot entrance and performance of the shunting movements. Thus, it eliminates the existing safety hazards, to achieve safe and smooth operations of engine release.

To ensure that the chip functions meet the expectations and to improve the success rate of tape out, the asynchronous dual-port RAM chip needs to be fully functionally verified before tape out. In this case, FPGA prototyping can simulate the actual working environment of the chip to verify the chip design. This paper presents the FPGA-based prototyping of the asynchronous dual-port RAM chip, which considers the chip definition and selects Intel 10M40DCF256 FPGA as the core hardware to build an FPGA prototyping platform. On this platform, the chip prototype is realized by porting ASIC codes to FPGA, and then the FPGA prototyping of the chip is achieved by preparing test programs according to the design requirements. The test results meet the expectations, and indicate that the functions of the asynchronous dual-port RAM chip meet the design requirements, thus avoiding the additional increase of project time and capital cost.

This paper proposes a distributed hump control system on the basis of the existing hump control systems. It briefly describes the research background and objectives of the proposed system, analyzes its advantages and designs its functions and structure. It also describes in detail the research contents of the key technologies of the system, including indoor hump control equipment, communication network structure, regional control of outdoor equipment, and remote operation and maintenance functions. The system can reduce the complexity of indoor equipment, thus improving the digitization and flexibility, as well as the safety, reliability and maintainability of the whole system.

The balise constitutes an important part of the train control system. It can provide a large amount of fixed and variable data to the onboard equipment. The application quality of the balise has a direct bearing on train operation safety and transport efficiency. This paper analyzes a fault in which the active balise sends the default telegram after the lightning protection component of the balise is removed and inserted, and describes the fault scenario and causes. It also summarizes the analysis method and handling scheme for similar problems, and proposes the solution to avoid the recurrence of similar faults, and ensure the safety of railway transport.

The application of GSM-R network in CTCS-3 train control system has gradually becomes mature. However, the problems of wireless connection timeout have remained a focus in the operation and maintenance work for equipment management bodies. This paper briefly describes the basic principles of CTCS-3 train control system based on GSM-R network and the process of track-train communication, and summarizes and classifies the problems of wireless connection timeout in recent years. It also puts forward the analysis and handling methods for the problems of wireless connection timeout, and lists and studies the typical cases, providing technical support for unifying the handling principles for the problems of wireless connection timeout.

This paper studies the factory-based construction technology for railway communication, targeting at the problems of short construction period, high technical difficulty and poor construction environment during the construction of projects involving existing line retrofitting, in overseas markets and under unfavorable geographical conditions. The proposed technology reduces on-site operations and improves construction quality through uniform cabinets, innovative terminal boards, bundled cables and storage devices, BIM design, as well as modular equipment room layout and construction methods. The trial application at Ningguo South station of Xuancheng-Jixi High Speed Railway verifies that the factory-based construction technology for railway communication substantially reduces on-site operation workload, lowers the technical difficulty and construction risks of on-site construction, and improves construction quality while ensuring railway work safety.

This study takes Chongqing Rail Transit Jiangtiao Line as the implementation site, and combines such advanced IT technologies as big data and artificial intelligence to explore the engineering architecture design and functional implementation of the collaborative transport and emergency commanding system for regional rail transit, and conducts on-site verification on the Jiangtiao Line. It firstly analyzes the characteristics and requirements of regional rail transit, and then proposes the overall architecture, data architecture, service architecture, deployment architecture and function architecture of system engineering. This study has great significance in improving the operation and management performance, safety guarantee capability, and intelligence level of information services of regional rail transit.

Through an analysis of the current situation of train operation scheme planning and formulation for urban rail transit, this paper reaches the conclusion that there is an urgent need for the operation personnel to have an assisted decision-making tool for performing analysis and making decisions as well as planning and formulating the train operation scheme by combining the passenger flow data of multiple typical days. To meet the needs of the operation personnel, it proposes a calculation method for the train operation scheme based on multi-day passenger flow data fusion, and provides a detailed design of two key algorithms in the proposed method, i.e., passenger flow data analysis, and train operation scheme classification and calculation. The pilot application shows that the calculation method for train operation scheme of urban rail transit based on multi-day passenger flow data fusion is more suitable for actual operation requirements, which greatly shortens the planning and compilation period of train operation scheme and substantially improves the compilation efficiency of train graph.

The traditional interlocking maintenance computer based on the C/S mode uses programs that are difficult to install and complex to operate, which poses certain requirements to users. To improve the user friendliness of this product, this paper presents the design and implementation of a Web-based interlocking maintenance computer by using such framework technologies as Spring Boot, Vue and database. The proposed maintenance computer provides the same functions as the traditional interlocking maintenance computer, such as station graphical display, network topology graphical display and historical data query, and has a function navigation bar that appears in the form of a list on the webpage. Users can access specific pages after logging into the webpage and clicking on the navigation bar. Compared with the traditional interlocking maintenance computer based on the C/S mode, the Web-based interlocking maintenance computer is simpler to access, and the method of accessing the webpage through a browser is more aligned with user habits.

To ensure the consistency of physical clocks or logical clocks for the signaling system of suburban railway and improve the reliability of time back-tracking, this paper takes Shanghai Suburban Railway as the research object, provides the background information of Shanghai Suburban Railway, and introduces the current clock synchronization technologies and mainstream signaling clock synchronization schemes. After analysis and summarization, it adopts the advantages of various schemes, proposes a clock synchronization scheme suitable for Shanghai Suburban Railway, and provides a detailed description of various subsystems of the proposed scheme.

In the functional testing, fault analysis and optimization research of the ZPW-2000A track circuit system, it is necessary to establish test environments with different section length, rail impedance, compensation capacitance and ballast resistance configurations. This paper presents the design of a track circuit fault simulation system, which can flexibly simulate rail lines and electrical insulation joints with the equivalent characteristic impedance of different section types, and reproduce common and typical fault cases of transmission channels and equipment components. The proposed system has great significance in supporting the analysis, research and verification of the working performance of track circuits under different working conditions.

In the signaling & communication safety management, the employees do not comply with regulations and standards have always been a weak point. Issues such as weak safety responsibility awareness, distorted and abnormal on-site control, operational accidents and personal injuries caused by violations of regulations and disciplines all ultimately because the works of personnel are not in place. Constructing an on-site operation safety guarantee system and achieving orderly and controllable on-site operations, the key is to work around the "person", this is the most crucial and active factor. This paper innovates the "six demonstrations and one standardization" working method for safe production, highlights the factor of "person", establishes the awareness of "prevention", and strengthens control before and during shift, which has great significance for constructing the safety production guarantee system for on-site signaling & communication operations.
