This paper summarizes and analyzes the problems with signal using incandescent lamp and ordinary LED light source, studies the key technologies of safety LED signal, puts forward the principle architecture of safety LED signal, the fail-safe implementation principle of LED signal, as well as the reliability, compatibility and maintainability design methods, to solve the problem of heavy maintenance work caused by short service life of incandescent lamp, and eliminate the potential safety hazards of ordinary LED signal, realize compatibility with in-service signal mechanism, and facilitate the replacement of in-service incandescent lamps and ordinary LED signals on site.

CTCS-3 level train control system is adopted in both high-speed yards, and 1/42 large-number turnout connection line is set between the yards. The connection line signal setting and train control system scheme are very complicated. In this special station, first of all, it is necessary to ensure that the train passes through the large-number turnout connection line normally at the speed of 160 km/h. Secondly, the train control system scheme of the connection line between the two high-speed fields with RBC set separately is studied, and the feasibility of C3→C2 level transition scheme and the RBC handover scheme based on virtual signal are analyzed. Through the study and selection, it is not feasible to carry out C3→C2 level transition for the large-number turnout connection line, and it is suggested to use the RBC handover scheme based on virtual signal. The research conclusion has a good reference significance for similar hub stations.

Transition between train control levels describes the principles that the train control system should follow and the level transition process of onboard equipment at the boundary of CTCS-3 and CTCS-2 sections. This paper describes the special scenarios of transition between CTCS-3 and CTCS-2
level, and deeply analyzes the fault cause of the 300H automatic train protection system (ATP) triggering SB7 during operation. At the same time, in order to solve the braking problem of 300H ATP and adapt to various types of onboard equipment, the optimization suggestions for the CTCS-3 to CTCS-2 transition scheme in special scenarios are put forward.

This paper introduces a new structure of electronic communication unit based on CAN-FD, which integrates control and supervision. In this structure, the "2 out of 2" safety logic is realized by two MCUs, and the third MCU is connected with the above two MCUs to realize the "2 out of 2" comparison and communication with the interlocking computer. The third MCU interfaces with two CAN-FD buses, which communicate with the interlocking computer in a redundant manner. This structure enhances the reliability of the system to some extent while ensuring the safety of the system.

In the Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway upgrading project, skylight times are used for tests by sections without affecting the transportation. In this paper, through analysis and discussion of train control data table and permitted speed table of engineering line provided by design, the train control software, RBC software, temporary speed restriction software and balise telegram that need to be modified in this project are sorted out. The tests are performed using the temporary speed restriction scope, and the whole system is put into operation at once finally. The operation speed of Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway has been increased to 350 km/h after the project. It provides reference for the follow-up high-speed railway upgrading projects.

The Guangzhou-Shenzhen railway is one of the few four-line parallel railways in China. Through analysis of the existing situation of Guangzhou-Shenzhen railway, this paper reveals the problems of the existing CTCS-2 train control system and onboard ATP equipment in operation and maintenance, constructs the system design scheme of train-ground collaborative transformation, solves the technical problems of connectivity between Guangzhou-Shenzhen railway and adjacent high-speed/intercity railways and forms the innovative achievements of upgrading and transformation of Guangzhou-Shenzhen railway signaling system.

This paper summarizes the progress of 5G-R standard, briefly analyzes the differences between 5G-R and GSM-R dispatching communication systems, and deeply studies and summarizes the 5G-R voice dispatching communication system from the aspects of the system architecture, protocol stack, technical implementation and performance requirements. By adopting key technologies such as 5G and MCPTT, 5G-R voice dispatching communication system will realize end-to-end all-IP communication, decoupling of network and service, and flexibly adapt to the needs of future railway dispatching communication.

This paper analyzes the existing transmission network, data network, mobile communication network and other railway communication system architecture and shortcomings, points out that the railway communication system will evolve to the direction of service grouping, flat architecture, application virtualization, equipment generalization and centralized maintenance, and analyzes the networking scheme of the next generation railway communication system based on cloud computing, IP packet switching, software defined network, network function virtualization and network slicing technology in detail. The study of the evolution direction and overall architecture of the next generation railway communication system is of guiding significance to the development of railway communication in China.

In order to solve the problems of the shunting train protection system (STP) such as scattered equipment installation, decentralized operation data management and difficult maintenance management, etc., the STP data center is built in the railway bureau. The management personnel can log into the data center through the terminal and perform query of stations equipped with STP , remote data analysis, equipment inspection and so on anytime and anywhere, so as to reduce the difficulty of fault analysis due to decentralized equipment management, untimely data analysis and terminal data loss and other problems, and ensure the normal operation of STP equipment.

In this paper a differentiated security check system for urban rail transit is proposed to deal with the contradiction between passenger flow demand and inadequate security check capacity. The real-name authentication information of passengers is collected and stored in the identification database. Passengers are divided into real-name authenticated and unauthenticated passengers, and differentiated security checks are implemented for them. The construction of passenger credit system, identity verification and accurate identification of contraband are key technologies. The specific implementation is explored by analyzing the composition of security check, channel layout and security check process. Authenticated passengers perform rapid security check, and unauthenticated passengers perform conventional security check, which can reduce the number of stranded passengers in the station hall, shorten the queuing time of passengers’ security check, and improve the efficiency and service level of security check.

The signaling system is an extremely important system in urban rail transit, which provides a strong guarantee for the safe operation of trains. The power supply equipment needs to continuously supply power to the signaling system in order to realize the safe, stable and sustainable operation of the signaling system. In view of the frequent faults of urban rail transit signaling power equipment during operation, this paper analyzes and studies the working principle of the signaling power equipment of Suzhou Rail Transit Line 2 and the causes of signaling power equipment faults that have a significant impact in recent years. Combined with the actual situation, a configuration scheme for the optimization and transformation of signaling UPS system to improve the safety and reliability of power supply of the signaling equipment.

Automatic depot train regulation is an important function of ATC DEPOT signaling system. This paper describes the automatic depot regulation function design in SelTrac® CBTC 2.0, analyzes the factors of automatic train launch function and the automatic train launch strategy. This paper also describes the process of automatic train stabling function and the automatic train stabling strategy. Based on the comprehensive consideration of the train conflicts in depot, and combined with the actual operational needs, a reasonable launch and stabling strategy is formulated. Project experience shows that the automatic depot train regulation function of the SelTrac® CBTC2.0 system achieves good system efficiency under the premise of meeting the operational requirements.

Through the prediction of passenger flow of urban rail transit, the purpose of improving passenger travel efficiency and reducing operating costs can be achieved. Based on this, a hybrid EMD-BPNN method combining empirical mode decomposition and neural network is proposed to predict the short-term passenger flow. The method decomposes the original passenger flow data into multiple intrinsic modal function components through empirical mode decomposition, and filters out the meaningful components, which are used as the input of the neural network to predict the passenger flow. The experimental results showed that the method proposed in this paper is more accurate and stable than the traditional neural network algorithm in the short-term metro passenger flow prediction.

The train control system consists of onboard ATP, onboard ATO, ATS, ZC, CI, simulation test environment and other products, all of which are supported by train control data. According to the requirements of data configuration of train control system, a train control equipment model is established. Trough the research of train control data visualization, data generation and data conversion, the data configuration function of train control system is realized. Based on the urban rail design plan, the train control data configuration system can produce data of various train control system products, which can effectively improve the capability of train control signaling system product integration.

With the increasing demand for train-ground wireless communication data transmission in rail transit industry, the problem of insufficient bandwidth of train-ground wireless network is becoming more and more serious. Based on the application case of Chengdu Metro Line 18, this paper introduces the system architecture and wireless coverage scheme of train-ground wireless network using LTE-U technology. The test results show that, the train-ground wireless network based on LTE-U can meet the operation requirements.

The FAO signaling system has further improved the safety and efficiency of the urban rail transit operation system and has a higher level of automation. However, compared with traditional CBTC signaling system, FAO signaling system has more requirements for acquisition and linkage with external interfaces. Based on the characteristics of FAO system, this paper proposes a test scheme of interfaces between FAO signaling system and external systems to verify the linkage function, engineering data and interface protocol related to external interfaces, so as to provide guarantee for the opening of FAO line.

In view of the JSDXC2-1700 dynamic relay faults in railway hump yard after lightning stroke, this paper analyzes the principle of drive circuit, improves the drive circuit of JSDXC2-1700 dynamic relay according to the analysis of fault causes, and realizes the drive circuit of the relevant dynamic relays by referring to the DS6-DTH2-TW dynamic drive box+JPXC-1000 relay mode which is currently used in the railway field. Based on DS6-DTH2-TW dynamic drive box technology, the dynamic drive circuit board of JSDXC2-1700 dynamic relay is modified for adaptation to satisfy the needs of field application.

The train receives the error coding information in the course of running, which has a huge hidden danger. Combined with the principle of the coding circuit, according to the design scheme and actual line conditions, this paper analyzes and studies the coding circuit of the station connected with short section, and puts forward a method to solve the problems of onboard signal jumping, error code, code dropping, etc. By modifying the liaison circuit between stations, the problems on site are fundamentally solved and the potential risks are avoided. Through in-depth analysis of the cause of onboard signal mutation, the idea of modifying the liaison circuit between stations is expounded to provide reference and guidance for the subsequent engineering design and emergency disposal.
